Jack Parsons Lives
On October 31, 1936, the first rocket tests of the Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) were performed at the Arroyo Seco in Pasadena California. Jack Parsons was a huge influence in the creation of the Septimus Orion project. His combination of scientific and occult practices reminds us that there are many ways to apprehend knowledge of the universe, that the scientist and the shaman both seek transcendent experiences and understanding. There is magic in the structure of the universe, and science in the power words and symbols of humankind. Thank you, Jack.
